The Project Manager Assistant is a professional role who supports in planning and coordinating projects, takes on administrative duties, and independently manages with a full understanding the activities of the overall project to ensure cost, schedule, and document control standards are met.
Under the direction of the PM, the Project Manager Assistant is expected to take on any/all tasks in the quest to learn all he/she can about construction.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILTIES
- Assist Project Manager
- Cost Reports, Billing Updating, Subcontracts.
- Manage Communication & Information
- Denman Best Practice knowledge
- Education/Product Knowledge
- Understand the Building Process
- Provide support to Subcontractors
JOB DUTIES
- Financial and Administrative
- Work with Estimator to understand budget bid specifications
- Review plans and notes for bid specific details
- Buyout process: Taking estimates to purchase orders through Buildertrend, creating scopes of work, creating subcontracts and monthly draw requests.
- Verifying execution of subcontracts and managing executed final subcontracts
- Creating Variance POs/COs and updating draw requests utilizing Buildertrend and MS Excel.
- Have thorough understanding of plan set, schedule, and estimate/budget
- Assist project manager with communication to suppliers/subcontractors on billing changes, order status, deliveries, site coordination needs, scheduling, and basic questions
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors/suppliers
- Maintain filing system of paper/electronic documents and up-to-date schedule
- Ensure all parties have access to most current plan set (Buildertrend, shared drive)
- Application submittal of septic, building permit and financing
- Assist with punchlist development, distribution and updating
- Look for ways to improving systems and operations
SKILLS
General construction knowledge with plan reading capability
Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities and work in collaboration to complete
Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment
Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills
Impeccable multi-tasking abilities with self-driven motivation
Financial aptitude and strong accounting skills
Professional level verbal and written communications skills
Strong technology knowledge with ability to become familiar with company specific programs/software
Strong PC/Computing Information systems skills with emphasis on Microsoft Products.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
