Project Engineer

Our Project Engineer will work directly with our product design specialists, our manufacturing team and customers to schedule and meet the delivery schedule on time. Duties include the ability to accurately move along projects: planning and forecasting, keeping on budget, keeping on schedule, nudge team members, and communicate directly with the CEO. Now more than ever, we need someone with an innate sense of urgency and organization so that nothing is left behind or forgotten. Attention to detail will ensure delivery of exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Examples of duties

• Interpretation of the desired outcome into a detailed plan that can be implemented by a project team
• Planning and forecasting of the project
• Liaising with suppliers and internal company stakeholders
• Keeping the project on schedule
• Keeping the project on budget
• Ongoing reporting of the project progress
• Ensuring that all aspects of the project proceed while adhering to internal company ISO procedures as well as external regulations and laws – this includes maintenance of project documentation
• Troubleshooting problems as they arise on a project – finding efficient and effective solutions
• Commissioning and qualification responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge and experience with a variety of manufacturing systems and processes.
  
• Budget management experience
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to analyze costs within the scope of project budgets.
• Interrupt and communicate project needs, deadlines, and delays to leadership

SKILLS

• A minimum of two years' experience in a in a related industry, including prior experience and knowledge of ERP systems such as Sage100, MAS90, SAP or eMatrix
• Recent "power user experience" using Excel and MS Project for forecasting purposes
• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, and good time-management skills.
• Good interpersonal and people management skills, ability to communicate to those internally and reach out to connections and vendors with customer service in heart and mind
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Suite.
• Strong written and oral communications skills in a casual but professional setting
• Spanish speaking a MAJOR PLUS

This position will begin as a non-exempt/hourly position and is intended for growth into Project Management as skills are demonstrated. Starting wages $28-33/hr. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and a 401k plan with 4% company match.
