Job description
Utz Quality Foods is currently seeking a Weekend Day Production Supervisor to join our team of
manufacturing professionals at our facility located at 900 High Street – Plant 3 in Hanover, PA. Teaming with a fellow Production Supervisor, this position will oversee the robotic repackaging operation and will also become well versed in the potato chip production and packaging operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all production and repack activities in accordance with corporate and plant policies,
- Provide continual leadership and guidance to team members for the purpose of increasing their
- Actively promote plant safety and environmental programs and procedures that comply with
- Manage staffing levels to current labor contract/labor standards requirements.
- Assign responsibilities to team members as required to meet planned production schedules.
- Coordinate the proper training of team members within the assigned department.
- Apply disciplinary actions in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
- Review RedZone data and coach team members on accuracy and data integrity.
- Drive accountability and improvement through use of RedZone data, production results, and
- Investigate production delays and take corrective action as necessary.
- Keep management informed of the status of production and promptly notify management of
- Promote an environment conducive to teams, teamwork, and line-driven accountability.
- Complete special projects, duties, and assignments as appropriate.
- Follow-up on and resolve all production and operation issues. Write and follow up on work orders as necessary. Participate or lead Good Manufacturing Practices, GMP, and Safety audits regularly.

Requirements:- Requires analytical, math and reading skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (Email)
- Requires leadership and management to direct the packaging departments and interface with
other departments. - Interpersonal and supervisory skills necessary to lead others.
- Knowledge of designated packaging and processing operations to assist when needed.
- Moderate lifting and occasional skid pulling.
- Knowledge of packaging machinery preferred.
- Additional post high school education preferred, not required
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills required
