Production Supervisor at a glance
B shift (Monday - Thursday) 6:15am - 6:30pm
The Production Supervisor plays a key role in delivering business results and operational improvements. Additionally- this position is responsible for the day-to-day manufacturing operations for an assigned area and shift.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Supervise operations for efficiency and safety. Ensure all regulatory- cost- and quality requirements are met.- Promote development initiatives and continuous improvement projects as an Individual and team contributor.
- Supervise and provide direction- leadership- and support to team members. Develop and maintain effective organization with qualified personnel.
- Promote employee and labor relations within the department.
- Collaborate with production staff and upper management to solve production problems.
- Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment.
- Experience in leading- motivating- and mentoring large teams of hourly associates.
- Ability to excel working with a diverse array of personnel- from hourly employees to senior leadership.
- Ability to demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to ensure consistency and accountability for my own and my team’s results.
- Ability to traverse my work environment- sustained up to 1/3 of my working hours.
- Ability to perform sedentary work: occasionally exerting 0-10 lbs. of force- limited movement from my workstation for brief periods of time.
