Job Title: Principal Data Engineer

Pay Rate: $110,000 - $140,000 per year

Duration: Direct hire

Locations: Phoenix AZ

Responsibilities overview:

Responsible for serving as a technical lead. Provides oversight of the modification and maintenance of data solutions with large, complex scope. This role acts as a mentor to junior team members.

Job Duties:

• Lead development projects, as assigned – 50%
• Maintain and enhance data solutions and provide oversight to team members doing so - 30%
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, as required. 15%
• Perform other duties, as assigned. 5%

Required Education:

• EDUCATION: Bachelor's
• FIELD OF STUDY: Technology/Engineering, or similar degree and/or experience

Preferred Education:

EDUCATION: Master's or Advanced

FIELD OF STUDY: Technology/Engineering or equivalent degree

Required Skills/Experience:

• 7-10 years professional experience with minimum 5 years of relevant development experience (BI solutions, data warehousing, data pipelines/ETL solutions, etc)
• Strong understanding and advocating DevOps culture
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure or other Cloud platforms, including data and analytics solutions
• Database & Data warehouse product knowledge (i.e. SQL, Oracle, etc)
• Understanding of Agile (Scrum) project management methodology and Test-Driven Development
• Strong communication skills
• Strong knowledge of data structures and concepts

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Working knowledge of Azure Synapse, Python/PySpark, Databricks, Azure Data Factory.
• Experience leading a DevOps team

PAY TRANSPARENCY POLICY STATEMENT

Compensation for roles at Suna Solutions varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific client, office or remote location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Suna Solutions provides a reasonable pay scale to include the hourly or salary range that Suna Solutions reasonably expects to pay for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City or Washington.
