BlueScope Properties Group (BPG) is a national ground up industrial developer of class A industrial warehouses and distribution centers. BPG develops and sells industrial properties by leveraging the BlueScope Buildings North America (BBNA) builder network. A full-service approach is provided to customers including site selection, land acquisition, facility specifications, permitting and construction through to ownership.

The Pre-Construction and Development Manager is integral to the BPG team and is critical to the BPG’s site due diligence process, construction overview, reporting, and close out of development projects. They use strong communication and organizational skills to oversee the successful construction of BPG projects. The Pre-Construction and Development Manager also monitors and reports on budgets, quality, scope, and delivery timeframe for a variety of concurrent development projects in various stages of design & construction.

Leads all aspects within the site due diligence phase of projects such as:

• Communicate and coordinate BPG specifications and requirements to design builders, architects, engineers, and other services providers.
• Prepare specification documents for directing proposal, estimating and design efforts.
• Supply General Contractor with design-build, quality control & reporting sample documents.
• Provide the Design-Build Team with due diligence checklists and ensure receipt of all requested documents and reports.
• Provide commentary on due diligence documents as may impact the development proforma.
• Review and assess proposed development pricing and design.
• Ensure accuracy of information within proposal documents.
• Participate in design meetings.

Minimum:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 7 years of experience in design-build construction project development, or project execution at the senior project manager level

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science degree in design / architecture, engineering, or construction related discipline
• Expertise in one or more construction disciplines
