Power & Storage Equipment (Computer) Operator needed for our client in Poughkeepsie, NY.

$18-$20 per hour and day shift! Excellent career opportunity for qualified candidate.

A client in Poughkeepsie is looking for an experienced computer technician to assist in the setup and testing of computer equipment for their facility in Poughkeepsie. The candidate for this job would be responsible for setting up, troubleshooting and monitoring system equipment and start-up procedures.

A knowledge of networking is a plus since the Asset Coordinator also works on network switches. Basic technology skills and a proactive technical curiosity is a requirement. The ability to research a technical issue in search of a solution, and build a network of technical contacts is important. The candidate must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. This candidate must be able to lift heavy items and operate a motorized pallet jack. Since they will be a member of a small Team, they will need to demonstrate strong team work.

Business hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm with some flexibility. The ability to work late or weekends when required due to the possibility of the occasional critical last-minute request due to a customer hardware error.

Requirements:

Must be computer literate with proficient knowledge of hardware and software.Willing to work O.T when required, including returning to the site if there is an emergency customer need for a specific system to get into test. Experience Forklift Operator a plus! This position would also be great for someone who has just recently received certification in computer hardware/software management.
