Plant Manager, TX
Position Overview
Infinitek are representing a major international building and roofing products manufacturer in their search for a Plant Manager South of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, TX.
The Plant Manager will be an experienced, hands-on and vocal leader who has strong leadership skills be capable driving exceptional performance. Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, this position will be responsible for directing all manufacturing activities at facility in order to meet and exceed operational objectives and goals in the areas of HSE, employee relations, environmental compliance, customer service, product quality, and cost and productivity. The Plant Manager will lead the implementation of operational criteria to gauge the achievement of plant objectives and efficiencies.
The plant in question is an existing facility.
Candidate Profile
Education
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similarly relevant combined education/work experience.
Experience
· Minimum 5 years’ Plant Manager experience
· 10+ years in manufacturing leadership
· Experience in a heavy equipment within an automated continuous manufacturing setting
· Experience leading a manufacturing site in transformation.
· Experience improving team dynamics and effectiveness, equipment uptime, safety, maintenance processes and operating standards are preferred.
· Experience with maintenance management systems
· Track record of meeting deadlines, working independently, and practicing good organizational skills.
· A background in developing and maintaining positive and productive employee and labour relations in a union environment.
· Leadership and manufacturing management experience in continuous improvement activities, and driving positive change in safety, quality, service and productivity.
· Experience with implementing systematic approaches to delivering and sustaining results.
· Experience with process safety management and creating a culture where all accidents are preventable.
Competencies
· Highly developed leadership, change management, interpersonal, communication and people management skills.
· The successful candidate will be seen on the plant floor regularly and be a hands-on resource.
· Demonstrate values of integrity, respect, teamwork and collaboration, accountability, and performance.
· Lean Manufacturing, OEE, and Six Sigma expertise a definite asset.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· The ability to develop and coach managers and supervisors in a union environment.
· A strong understanding of supply chain principles, production planning, scheduling, engineering, maintenance, management accounting, and project management.
· Strong PC & software skills in Microsoft Office applications.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $165,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
