Come Join Our Team! DKW Communications, Inc. (DKW) is a government contractor providing professional and technical services to various government agencies i.e. defense, law enforcement and security. We are currently looking for a Network Planner to join our winning team. We are experiencing tremendous growth at this time and seeking to hire bright, energetic individuals to support our team. The individual hired for this position will provide support to our government customer located at Langley AFB in Hampton, VA.

Overview

The Network Planner will be responsible for the following duties:

• Performs procedures compatible with the medical facility’s operating capacity and equipment. New network devices or services shall not be introduced without prior recommendation to, and approval of, the MTF CIO.
• Provides network, server, and personal computer engineering services, as scheduled by the MTF.
• Administers network and server engineering support services IAW individual Air Force Communications Instructions, 633d Medical Group Instructions and Health insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA) guidance.
• Identifies, installs and tracks Air Forc3e Certification (AFCERT) Compliance Managements as they become available.
• Assists on-site personnel in implementing appropriate network security measures and methodologies.
• Assists the on-site staff in developing and implementing an Internet Protocol (IP) Management scheme and tracking mechanism.
• Performs network configuration management.
• Responds to telephone, email, and walk-in help requests from customers.
• Utilizes all required computer software within the duty section.
• Assists MTF customers on an as needed basis who request assistance via the facility information systems help desk.
• Provides assistance and technical knowledge to the facility CIO on current industry technology trends and practices.
• Assists MTF CIO and systems supervisory personnel in preparing written correspondence and/or briefings o9n designated topics/tasks.
• Assists or initiates development and maintenance of computer and network support guidelines that describe activities to maintain, install, and trouble-shoot information management and communications equipment/software.
• Works with the 633d Communications Squadron Help Desk, network support, engineering, and security offices to identify problems and implement solutions concerning network and server operations.
• Trains other members of the 633 MDG Information Management Services Flight in network and server operations.
• Manages multiple medically unique server-based applications.
• Performs all other additional duties as assigned appropriate to the profession.
  

Requirements

• MUST have an Active Secret clearance or higher
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or Technology degree. Five years direct experience in Information Technology can be substituted for education or degree.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7/2003, 2008, 2012 Server/Workstation.
• Trained on how to engage with the requestor to obtain relevant situational data.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems for desktops, laptops, tablets, and servers.
• Knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting of mobile devices and printers.
• Must have a Security+ certification or higher
• CPR Training (Will be company provided)
