Pipeline Project Engineer
Duration/Status: Direct Hire Staff
Location: south of Greater Lake Charles, LA region
Schedule: 5 days/week, 8 hours/day - all days at Site office (remote/hybrid schedule NOT AN OPTION)

We are seeking to welcome a Pipeline Project Engineer to the team. The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented engineer with expertise in pipeline systems and mechanical engineering design with gas industry experience. This person will have experience working in both an office and field/site environment providing gas pipeline design/upgrades/retrofits, valve automation/remote control, and mechanical plant/field systems design. The Pipeline Project Engineer will work along side other engineers and support several projects at the same time.
Responsibilities:
- Provide input in all pipeline engineering matters, including topside, marine & inland facilities and compressor stations
- Provide project management support to company's pipeline projects as needed: Monitors and controls project performance during Project Execution stage to ensure project meets agreed quality, cost and time parameters in safe and environmentally sound manner.
- Support other functions with permitting, planning and execution activities
- Prepare reports, assist with presentations related to the pipeline projects
- Act as owner’s engineer / owner representative as needed
- Manage and coordinate logistical aspects of inland and marine pipeline scopes.
- Support and management of marine assurance and regulatory compliance
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC.
- Travel to Point Celeste, LA to our Plaquemines site and to Houston, TX will be required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or commensurate work experience
- 5 or more years of natural gas pipeline industry experience preferred, with demonstrable experience in Project Engineering or Construction Management
- Knowledge of applicable natural gas industry construction practices, FERC and agency requirements
- Understanding of CFR 192 & 195
- PMP certification a plus
- Knowledge of engineering design standards and applicable natural gas industry codes and regulations; must stay current on technology, industry standards and material
- Understands concepts of asset lifecycle management, system reliability and gas transmission operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong HSSE commitment and demonstrated HSSE leadership skills.
- Applicant should have the ability to assess the impact of regulatory and commercial aspects on project decisions and to generate ideas to optimize project commercial and technical decision-making.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
