Our StaRx Training program provides a comprehensive blended program, to prepare a person new to the role of a pharmacy technician, with the knowledge, skills, and tools, to serve as a pharmacy technician in an HCA Hospital. The ideal candidate would have a high school diploma, with a desire to enter the acute care, hospital setting, in the role of a pharmacy technician.
This is a paid program, 12 weeks in length, leading to a full-time position on our Pharmacy team. The first six (6) weeks include a combination of didactic education, eLearning, and facility days. The remaining six (6) weeks are spent at the sponsoring facility, working with a clinical preceptor from the hiring facility.
This program is built on the Pharmacy National Standards and HCA Healthcare best practices for safe medication dispensing. The learners will be trained on the HCA Healthcare Medication Dispensing Machine, Medication Repackaging, along with the Electronic Documentation System.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Graduate / GED Required
- No other qualifications are required - the StaRxTraining Program will provide all needed on-the-job skills and training!
