Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Successful completion of the State of Minnesota administered certification exam for nursing assistants or completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within an accredited nursing program.
- One (1) year of nursing assistant experience in an acute care/hospital setting may be substituted for completion of the certification exam.
- One year of nursing assistant experience - Preferred.
- Previous experience performing venipuncture - Preferred.
- Proficiency in oral and written English is sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Skill in basic computer operations.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification pre-employment or completion during the orientation period if transferring internally. BLS Certifications obtained online will not be accepted.
