Northwest Respiratory Services seeks an Intake Specialist in our Bloomington, Minnesota office. This person is the first point of contact for our customers, providing empathetic and highly accurate communication in support of their health and quality of life. You will set up their order, verify their insurance coverage, and build trust with our customers, all over the phone. *This position does not offer remote work*

A Day in the Life:

• Work with new customers to set up their initial equipment and supply orders
• Multi-task to manage a high volume of calls and faxed orders in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers (branch manager, Nursing home staff, hospitals)
• Work collaboratively with other Intake Specialists to ensure best practices are shared and the workload is completed
• Gain knowledge in respiratory equipment and interpret to customers in a way they can understand

• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Punctual and dependable, customers and co-workers are counting on you!
• Understanding of HIPAA laws to handle confidential personal and medical information
• Exercises good judgement on handling phone calls appropriately and empathetically
• Excellent telephone and typing skills
• Able to work between the hours of 8am – 5:30pm, M-F and one Saturday per month

Additional, preferred skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel
• Previous data entry and medical knowledge
• Bilingual is a plus!
