Charleston Children’s Therapy Center is currently seeking a patient coordinator in our Ladsonclinic.

We are seeking a patient coordinator that would be excited to join a team of passionate operations members, SLPs, OTs, COTAs, PTs! We are seeking a candidate that will work a set schedule of 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.

We are an outpatient pediatric group with two clinics located in Ladson, SC and Mount Pleasant, SC. We offer occupational, physical and speech therapy to the surrounding area of Charleston in our clinic, in the natural environment, and through teletherapy. CCTC prides itself on a child-focused environment with dedicated and passionate operations members and therapists. The therapy team offers services to children of all ages implementing a wide variety of treatment approaches and modalities. We recognize the unique challenges that children may face and focus our energy on innovative strategies to help them achieve success in all their activities. Exceptional attitude, customer service oriented, friendly, and outgoing are fundamental attributes for the patient coordinator. Service to patients is at the core of our practice. As the patient coordinator, you are critical to the operations team and are responsible for greeting all patients and visitors with a positive and welcoming attitude. Patient focus, cleanliness, organization, and communication skills are required in order to perform the job duties listed below.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Greet all patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Maintain clean and neat work area and waiting area for patients and visitors
  • Answer telephone and direct to appropriate department or answers callers’ questions in a friendly and professional manner
  • Retrieve voicemail messages and direct to the appropriate recipient
  • Schedule appointments for all patients and enter into EMR
  • Verify and update patient information at registration
  • Review insurance coverage and confirm accuracy prior to evaluation
  • Patient check in and check out
  • Collect copay, coinsurance, and no-show fees
  • Follow procedures for new referrals and unsuccessful referrals
  • Scan and fax documentation as required for patients and physicians
  • Miscellaneous tasks to be performed in EMR dashboard
  • Send and manage intake paperwork for new patients
  • Assist with clinic development and marketing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
