The Patient Care Coordinator's Purpose

To oversee the Front Desk of the Peak Performance Physical Therapy clinic and assist in the production and viability of the entire organization.

The desired product of the Patient Care Coordinator

Patients that arrive on time to an efficient schedule and with all of the required paperwork correctly completed and obtained. A front desk/office that is running effectively and efficiently without stagnancy while maintaining great customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensuring the internal and external communications of the company flow smoothly and efficiently in a positive way.
• Overseeing the setting of patient appointments efficiently in order to allow for maximum production.
• Ensuring that appointments by patients are kept to protect the progress of patients' recovery. Displaying characteristics of being servant focused at all times.
• Ensuring referrals convert into evaluations with minimal delay.
• Ensuring all services provided have full billing information obtained before PT services are rendered.
• Understanding and working towards pre-establish stats and goals set up specific to the position and displaying business excellence at all times.
• Ensuring front desk collections are done fully and on time.
• Ensuring that insurance authorizations are obtained and monitored on a daily basis.
• Education of patients, referral sources, and the local community regarding our values and services.
• The readiness to show appreciation and to return kindness.
• Collaboration in and among co-workers, patients, and community partners.

Minimum Requirements

2 - 5 years of general front office/front desk experience (within the healthcare field a plus)
