The Consumer Content and Partnerships Group is responsible for connecting consumers with the content and experiences they love on the nation’s best network.
We oversee partnerships, source opportunities and negotiate with a broad range of content and programming entities, including major broadcast and cable companies, sports leagues, OTT/digital providers, studios, AR/VR producers, and more. Content increasingly serves as a key driver in consumer decision making. As the largest direct-to-consumer platform in the U.S., we have a massive opportunity to herald in the next consumer use cases for video, audio, immersive and live experiences. Our team sits at the center of that opportunity.
The Manager of Content Partnerships will report to the Director, Content Partnerships and be responsible for supporting deal negotiations, securing content rights, and supporting Verizon Consumer Group initiatives. Responsibilities include:
Serving as second chair negotiator on OTT/DTC and linear Content partnerships.
Building relationships and representing the Content Team to various internal stakeholders including Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Legal and Accounting as well as with external programming partners.
Developing presentations for Verizon Executive Leadership.
Providing direction to content settlements team to ensure accurate payment of content license fees.
Researching media industry to provide competitive intelligence, identify emerging trends and improve existing business practices.
Supporting the Deal team with various tasks and projects.
What we’re looking for...
You are an experienced deal negotiator to join our Fios/OTT team to be responsible for negotiations and partner management. You are motivated, a critical thinker/negotiator who is passionate about the evolving video content distribution landscape.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Two or more years of experience within a OTT/DTC distribution/acquisition deal team, linear content distribution/acquisition deal team, strategy team or business development group.
Two or more years of experience reviewing contracts and drafting contract language for content partnerships.
Knowledge of the OTT/DTC space.
Experience with GSuite (Slides, Sheets, Docs) and Microsoft Office including ability to tell a story by leveraging visualizations
Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
Even better if you have:
MBA or comparable degree with a concentration in Finance, Business, or Economics.
Deal modeling experience and/or experience creating business cases. Ability to build clear forecasting models from scratch utilizing multiple flexible inputs.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, taking the initiative, prioritizing multiple projects, and working under tight time-frames to meet deadlines which may occasionally cover weekends and/or holidays.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
Passion about the media industry.

If you are hired into a Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York work location, the compensation range for this position is between $122,000.00 and $248,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
