TITLE: Wellness Center Trainer
REPORTS TO: Wellness Director
METHOD OF PAY: Hourly
Purpose of Your Job Position
The Trainer monitors activity in the strength training and aerobic/cardio areas of the wellness center. The Trainer is responsible for assisting members with exercise activities and programs. The Trainer conducts periodic, routine daily observations concerning safety, maintenance and cleanliness of facility exercise areas, sauna/steam rooms, whirlpool spa and restrooms/dressing rooms; and performs the necessary work to ensure these areas are maintained, safe and clean. The Trainer is responsible for the accurate processing of daily registration, folding and stocking towels, and assisting the Program Coordinator as needed. Effective, clear communication skills and the ability to deal with the public in a positive, professional manner are required.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor exercise areas for safety and cleanliness
- Assist members with exercise activities and programs
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and positive healthy environment
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in all areas of the facility
- Help maintain accurate records of all program activities and membership registration
- Assist with general clerical/office work (keypunch, creating bulletin boards)
- Make suggestions for the purchase of needed facility and program supplies and equipment
- Deal courteously and diplomatically with residents, staff, and members
- Perform other tasks and related work as assigned

- Public relations and service
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Must have High School Diploma or its equivalent.
