General Description
Niagara County Community College has a need for a part-time instructor to teach Sports Management courses within the Business, Technology & Arts department.

These classes are typically three lecture hours per week during days and/or evenings. Classes are held on the NCCC’s main campus in Sanborn, NY, or may be offered online.

Remuneration for persons teaching at least 3 credits in a semester: $825 per lecture hour/$739 per lab hour.

Typical Work Activities
  • Teach Sport Management courses in the delivery format agreed upon (on campus, hybrid, blended or online)
  • Track attendance as needed
  • Complete census reports
  • Report on student learning outcomes at the end of the semester
  • Report grades at the conclusion of the semester

Essential Functions
Ability to work with and teach a diverse student population. Must be able to communicate effectively with students, co-workers, supervisors and the campus community. Must be able to develop, prepare, and present information. Must be able to operate computers and must adjust any teaching to the Americans with Disabilities Act provisions. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position.

Required Qualifications
Master’s of Business Management or Sport Management.

Desirable Qualifications
  • Doctorate of Sport Management or Business Administration
  • One year of teaching experience at a community college or University

In just a short period of time, it has become the nucleus of the campus; a place for faculty to collaborate and help students develop critical thinking skills while incorporating state-of-the-art technology and innovative student support services.
