G1 Facility Services is a leading facility maintenance and construction provider, proudly serving customers nationally. We support varied industries, including Aviation, Food Services, and Hospitality. With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to welcome an Experienced Painter to join our dynamic Jamaica, NY & Newark, NJ team!

• Communicate with facility directors and managers to determine their painting requirements and help make the best decisions for their projects.
• Assemble scaffolding as required.
• Cover trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint.
• Set up ventilators and other safety equipment to protect Painters from unhealthy fumes.
• Prepare surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until they’re smooth.
• Apply primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to them.
• Mix and match paint, stain and other finishes to job specifications.
• Apply paint, stain and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers or sprayers.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies like paint brushes, rollers and tarps.
• Remove old finish using scrapers, chemical compounds, or blowtorches.
• Estimate time and material costs on painting projects.
• Clean machines, equipment and work areas using water, solvents and other cleaning aids.
• Review and implement work orders and assignments.
• Remove and reinstall fixtures (e.g., doorknobs, electric switch covers) as necessary.

Requirements

• Work with a team by providing instructions, directions, and support during a project.
• U.S. Driver’s License preferred.
• Must possess 3+ years of painting experience.
• Must present well and possess customer service skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Be able to work on lifts, scaffolding or ladders at heights greater than 20’
• Occasional travel required to work in other airports or customer bases projects across the United States
• Must be willing to work in a drug-free environment and able to pass a 10-year government background check.
• Must be willing and able to follow ALL safety precautions with appropriate PPE, follow company safety protocols, environmental, and OSHA safety best practices

Compensation: Starting salary: $23-$26 per hour- depending on experience, unique PTO policy, medical, vision, dental, and 401K.
Work hours between 6:00am to 2:30pm, some weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
