Eason Painting is a local painting company that has been in business for 28+ years, located in Macomb county is looking to hire a interior & exterior house painter. • Ability & Knowledge of painting two-story interior/exterior residential painting and staining (may need to climb as high as 3-stories), Deck Staining/Sealing, Commercial Painting, Drywall Finishing and Repair, Wallpaper Removal, and Pressure Washing.
• Ability & Knowledge to set up jobs, complete prep work spanning from filling nail holes to repairing drywall tape and matching ceiling textures
• * Ability and Knowledge to cut well with a brush, roll proficiently, and spray. For advanced applicants, managing small crews and organizing jobs is plus. We are consistently looking to promote crew leaders from within.

Job Responsibilities : Paint and Prepare the interior and exterior of buildings and homes, including apartments, townhomes, condos and multi-family dwellings.

• Moves furniture, office equipment, and other objects and applies protective covers.
• Protect nearby items or furnishing before and during every job, including outlet covers, landscaping, lighting fixtures, cabinetry and carpets. Mask and cover by means of taping and masking with plastic, paper,tape cardboard and drop cloths
• Daily clean up of all job related tools and equipment including but not limited to roller covers, roller frames, brushes, pumps, buckets, spray equipment and trucks Cleans and maintains equipment and ensures the proper use, repair, and materials, tools, and equipment.
• Daily clean up of the job site by removing masking and covering, washing of floors, countertops, doors and windows as needed by use of water and some chemicals. Vacuum and dusting of flooring and home surfaces.
• Loading and unloading of materials, tools and equipment in trucks and shops.
• Assist in removing and replacing interior and exterior casing, doors, trim,baseboards, drywall, wood building materials, fans, light fixtures/ceiling fans, outlet covers, door and window hardware, signs, tvs, and pictures
• Sanding of all interior and exterior building materials by use of hand and mechanical equipment. Including but not limited to drywall,casing,baseboards, wood moldings, doors.
• Power Washing and cleaning of outdoor surfaces with water blasting and chemicals.
• Prepares surfaces for painting by removing objects from walls, washing walls, patching holes, repairing cracks, replastering, and sanding surfaces; involves use of steam cleaning equipment, razor scraper, putty knife, plaster, metal patch, power sanders, buffers, etc.
• Applies primer, paint, stain, or varnish to prepared surfaces, working from ladders and scaffolds, using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other tools and equipment of the trade.
• Knowledge of methods, techniques, materials, tools, and equipment of the painting trade.
• Knowledge of the methods of preparing wood, metal, plaster, and other surface finishing and refinishing.
• Knowledge of the different types of paints, stains, varnishes, and lacquers and uses.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and special procedures applicable to the work.
• Skill in the use of the tools, materials, and equipment of the trade.
• Ability to work from heights (on ladders, scaffolds, and platforms), stand for long periods of time, and move heavy equipment, materials, structures and furniture.
• Ability to maintain records related to the work by use of text message,email and or timesheet apps.
• Ability to read and interpret work scopes and instructions.
• Interior and Exterior painting and staining of residential properties and some light commercial properties
• Meet schedule and quality standards and expectations of each customer
• Provide extraordinary customer experience in addition to quality work
• Maintain company vehicles and equipment
• Complete necessary jobsite paperwork
• Maintain safety and job site cleanliness
• Work as a team with other members of the Eason Painting staff

Work Conditions

• Work may be performed from ladders, scaffolds, and platforms and requires standing for long periods.
• Jobs requires an employee to work outdoors as well as indoors.
• Some jobs require an employee to work in an environment that involves exposure to unpleasant or noxious fumes and odors.

Physical Requirements

• The job duties require an employee to stand, bend, stoop, or reach for extended periods.
• The job duties require an employee to be in confined spaces.
• The job duties require an employee to climb ladders.
• The job duties require an employee to move heavy objects.
• Great customer service and attention to detail

Job Qualifications -Required:

• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation to and from jobs sites
• Cell phone for communication and picture taking
• Painters pants or shorts - No rips or excess stains or paint
• Close toed shoes or boots
• Availability to work M-S 40-60 hrs per week
• Clean cut Appearance with no facial tattoos or piercings
• No fear of ladders or heights
• Must be able to lift 50 plus pounds and carry from truck to house

Job Qualifications- Preferred

• Painting experience
• Previous construction labor experience
• High School or equivalent Education
• Non- Smoking

Work Locations & Time

• Macomb, Oakland & St Clair County
• Monday-Saturday 7:30am to 5:30pm - Work hours may vary based on job locations and conditions
