Job description
This position is critical in maintaining ongoing day-to-day communications, business activities and relationships with Team Staffing Solutions contract employees who are assigned at Scotts Miracle Gro (SMG). This person will report directly to the contract agency Manager.
Responsibilities:
Adhere to all policies and the mutually agreed practices of Team Staffing Solutions, Inc., and the client company.
- Have a basic understanding of local, state, and federal labor laws.
- Help foster a working environment that is safe and professional.
- Market Team Staffing and all open positions in a positive manner via. Facebook, LinkedIn, career fairs, Indeed and other marketing/recruiting sources in your market.
- Could recruit, interview, and select employees for open positions in your market.
- Set up and manage all new hire paperwork, orientations, and onboarding for new hires.
- Conduct and analyze criminal background checks in accordance with the policy.
- Develop positive working relationships with employees on-site and serve as their first point of contact and liaison between Team Staffing and client management, as well as timely and prompt follow-up with on-site employees regarding issues or matters of concern.
- Responsible for answering and promptly responding to calls, texts and emails directed to the On-Site Representative.
- Ensure that weekly timecards are completed accurately and ready for timely weekly collection.
- Assist with initial orientation of new hires, including communicating employee policy, procedure, and benefit information.
- Develop a professional rapport and open communication with Team Staffing and the client company operations personnel.
- Regularly conduct “walk throughs” of departmental areas for the purpose of meeting with on-site employees and checking for proper PPE.
- Initiate and participate in the disciplinary process for Team Staffing employees.
- Communicate to Team employee(s) of any shift, department, or position change.
- Effectively coach, counsel or communicate existing company policies to on-site employees- either verbally or written.
- Perform conflict resolution between any on-site employees.
- Ensure that all accidents are reported on a timely basis to Team Staffing via First Report of Injury (FROI) form and with any accident investigation if asked to do so.
- Track and report all incidents and if necessary, conduct additional training with Team Staffing employees.
- Communicate with the Manager regarding any policy, payroll, employee relations (morale), community relations and client or safety matters.
- Distribute commonly used Team Staffing forms (authorization for direct deposit, termination of direct deposit, state, and federal taxes, etc.).
- In cases of injury or illness, the HR On-Site Coordinator will transport (or make appropriate transportation arrangements) of the affected employee to the designated company healthcare provider. This includes injuries after hours.
- Conduct site tours for new candidates.
- Conduct interviews and selection process for potential Team employees.
- Travel may be required to complete trainings, reviews, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by Team Staffing Solutions, Inc.

- 2-year degree or the equivalent Human Resource, Safety or Training experience.
- Valid and insurable Driver’s License.

- Basic computer skills and experience using MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook).

Hours of Work
This position is typically assigned to work five days per week. Typical hours will be 10pm - 6:30am. The scheduled start and end time may vary at times, and Team Staffing reserves the right to adjust the schedule accordingly to meet the demands of the business or personnel. The position will require the On-Site Coordinator to, at times, be on-call or available to handle after-hours work-related incidents or injuries.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position will require you to work in an office setting as well as conducting walk throughs at the client site which will be a manufacturing environment. You will be required to drive, and transport injured employees to a medical facility. Transportation times will vary and could at times be after hours.
