Outside Sales Representative
Eastern North Carolina Territory / I-95 and bordering townships, East (also including the area of I-40 W from Benson to
Raleigh; US-1 N from Raleigh to Henderson; I-85 N from Henderson to Virginia State Line)
Outside Sales Representative Duties and Responsibilities:
● Identify and establish contact with potential customers.
● Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers.
● Work with management to determine the most beneficial manners for identifying and targeting potential customers.
● Work with management to establish Sales budgets.
● Follow proper practices and log/report required information regarding the use of company-provided transportation.
● Follow industry trends to identify new prospects and opportunities for potential sales.
● Recommend marketing strategies to target a specific region or demographic population or sector.
● Weekly preparation of upcoming week’s Itinerary.
● Generate and submit Sales Visits / Sales Log Reports to management.
● Qualify prospects within assigned or open sales territory and build a consistent pipeline to meet sales goals.
● Move prospects through the sales process, in a professional and timely manner, by delivering outstanding consultative, sales, and customer experience guidance.
● Extensive daily travel into the assigned territory, regularly visiting key cities and towns.
● Initiate additional interactions and meetings through lunches, dinners, offsite meetings, and outings. Be prepared to travel, sometimes overnight, both within-state and out-of-state. Abide by budgetary parameters outlined and set for such interactions.
● Update sales and client databases with current information.
● Be informed on the latest industry developments by attending team meetings and training workshops.
● Practice good negotiating skills with potential and existing clients to close sales.
● Regular cleaning of company-supplied vehicle (if applicable), maintaining the vehicle to exceptionally high standards.
Outside Sales Representative Experience Requirements:
● Five years of sales experience with industrial electronics and parts.
● Demonstrated ability in meeting sales goals and objectives.
● Impeccable interpersonal communication skills.
● Extremely safe and professional driving/transportation skills and knowledge.
● No flagrant or major driving offenses in the past 5 years.
● Thorough understanding of the industry and industry trends.
● Familiarity with sales, marketing strategies, and consumer psychology.
● Proficiency with the pertinent programs/apps, and spreadsheet software utilized within the organization.
Outside Sales Representative Skills and Qualifications:
Outside Sales Representative candidates should have experience in sales with a demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals. Additional experience in marketing and consumer psychology indicates a quality Outside Sales Representative, is capable of converting prospective buyers to loyal customers. Experience specific to our industry, product, and service, which contributes to the success of an Outside Sales Representative.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 per year
