We have 6 board-certified/eligible surgeons, 3 Doctors of Physical Therapy, and 100+ other employees. Job Overview
Provide assistance to providers by rooming patients, obtaining medical history, creating orders/entering procedures into EHR, responding to patient and inter-office messages, casting, bracing, preparing injections, etc. as needed by provider. Keys to success are excellent patient care, ability to multitask, organizational skills, and good working knowledge of orthopedic injuries/treatments. Medical assistants are essential to ensure smooth flow of patient appointments, having everything the provider needs ready when they walk into the room, and being available to assist the provider with anything required immeidately.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare exam rooms for the day
- Room patients
- Obtain medical history
- Assist providers during visits
- Apply braces/casts
- Prepare injections
- Answer patient, inter-office messages throughout day (voicemail and EHR)
- Replenish exam room stock
- Other duties as assigned by provider/administration
Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or equivalent, Medical Assistant certification preferred
- At least 3 years Medical assistant experience, Orthopedic setting preferred
- Excellent communication, customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills a must. Bilingual a plus.
- Must have a smiling personality, be reliable, and efficient
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
