Middlesex Eye Physicians is now hiring an Optical Apprentice for our Middletown location.

This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is currently working in optical and would like to become a Licensed Optician with on the job training.

As an Optical Apprentice, under the direction of our Licensed Optician, you will work directly with the patients. Some of your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

• Educate our patients on products suitable for their lifestyle
• Sell Frames and Lenses
• Verify prescription lenses
• Make repairs and adjustments to frames
• Order lenses and communicate with labs as needed
• Train patients on insertion and removal of contact lenses

Skills/Qualifications:

Must have excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills; Highly organized, strong work ethic, work well in a team environment, prompt, reliable, and the ability to multi-task.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
