Summary: The Production Training Supervisor is key to employee retention, productivity, and compliance by coordinating consistent and effective training for operational team members. Utilizing our "One Team, One Mission" approach, this position collaborates with internal partners to develop, track, and improve the operational training experience.

Essential Functions:

Ensures accuracy and consistency in standard operating procedures (SOPs) of equipment and processes through the development and oversight of operational training for new hires, transfers, and re-trains/updates. Develops timeline, protocol, and tools to implement training, track learning progress and test quality of performance in a variety of production situations and equipment. Consults with Production, Continuous Improvement, and company leaders on operational training issues, recommends job placements, and engages in other feedback as needed to improve the Brakebush onboarding and training experience.

Provides leadership to a team of operational trainers through supervision, training, and continuous performance management that promotes a positive culture consistent with Brakebush mission and values. Reviews time and attendance for accuracy and timely submittal to Payroll. Responsible for team compliance in company and regulatory training (SQF, Safety, HR, and other training.

Serves as training coordinator to ensure best practices in company and governmental policy and regulations. (e.g., Safety/OSHA, HR/EEO, QA/SQF/HACCP, etc.) Supports Production team compliance through coordinating mandatory training logistics, partnering with Operations and Sanitation Supervisors to cover compliance training and updates*, tracking attendance, and evaluating training impact/application of knowledge. Provides training data and feedback to internal partners to improve training efficiency and application.

Provides backup for Production Supervisors and operational trainers. Maintains knowledge of Operations procedures, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Develops relationships with team members to optimize training success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Three years’ experience in a USDA regulated facility leading an operations team and/or a bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or related field with two years’ leadership experience.
  • Operations/productions experience of our current equipment and processes.
  • Training coordination experience; developing training tools, planning, facilitation, tracking and evaluation
  • Professional interpersonal skills including strong oral and written communication, a team approach, and the ability to maintain composure/make decisions in stressful situations.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a further process poultry facility
  • Supervisory experience in a food processing setting (Further Processing preferred)
  • Prior experience with SAP or Infinity
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) encouraged
  • Knowledge of general First Aid and CPR

Supervisory Responsibility: This position supervises a team of operational trainers across all three shifts

Work Environment: Wide variations in environment temperature (-10 freezer, 32-degree coolers, 40-degree plant, wet cold environment) noise, slippery floors and moving equipment, wearing appropriate PPE.

Physical Demands: Position will include extensive standing, sitting, lifting, wearing factory required equipment while working in production, walking, climbing stairs, visual inspections, responding quickly to team member needs, and challenges that may be happening.

Position Type: Shift hours may vary. Some Saturday work is required.

Travel: Travel may be required to other facilities (5-10%, depending on need)
