Shop Floor Operations Staff/Machinist Apprentice

Small office looking for a reliable person with an ability to handle support of machining operations and material support tasks. Must have computer skills, ability to multi-task, follow documented processes, be self-motivated and an ability to handle details. General tasks include taking job orders, developing customer quotes, obtaining material cost quotes/purchase from suppliers, track job orders, creating job packets/routers for shop floor, shipping and tracking, receive and tag parts and interface with customers. Ability to interface with technicians and knowledge of machining operations preferred . Job can transition to an apprentice position on the shop floor for an appropriate candidate with the skills/education necessary to perform CNC/Machining.

- Written and Oral Communication skills - Basic Math skills - Excellent interpersonal skills -
Ability to establish and document internal procedures - Attention to detail

Knowledge of machine operations to include use of precision measuring tools such as Calipers, Micrometer, General Mechanical knowledge and blueprint reading .

- Organized, flexible and agile worker that can multi-task and set daily priorities

Ability to interface with technicians

Education, Experience and Licensing

- 3-5 years related experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
