Operations Manager - SVASC
The County of Augusta is accepting applications for the position of Operations Manager for the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center located in Lyndhurst, Virginia. This is a public shelter owned by Augusta County and the Cities of Staunton and Waynesboro.
This position’s responsibilities include, but not limited to upholding the mission of the shelter; manages all operations of the shelter including the care of animals, personnel supervision, regulatory compliance and facility maintenance/management of buildings and grounds; and ensures professionalism of staff including continuity between shelter staff, animal control officers, volunteers, advocacy groups, rescues and the public. Supervision is exercised over shelter personnel as assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the SVASC Director.
The preferred candidate will have graduated from high school and have experience managing an animal facility or relevant management experience in the private industry or government sector. The hiring range is $45,841 – $50,425 depending on qualifications. The County offers an excellent benefit package.
