The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall efficiency and effectiveness of processes that drive cost containment as well as… WHOA!!! Boring! Let’s kick HR out of the room for a minute and tell it like it is!

Our home services business is located in Boise near the mall. (Yes, near Boise’s one and only mall!) We've been around since 2015 and continue to grow and dominate the house cleaning market throughout the Treasure Valley! We've recently added carpet cleaning and window cleaning divisions and we’re looking for a very specific individual to help us go to the next level. Let’s talk about the good and bad of working with us:

The bad:

• Our office can be a little quiet at times so if you're someone who thrives with a lot of noise and chaos you may need to create your own!
• The medical/dental/vision benefits aren't cheap and they're not free. They're partially subsidized by the business, but if you're looking for 100% free benefits this ain't the place!

The good:

• You’ll have your own office with a stand-up desk and a view! And you can decorate to your heart’s content!
• If you love learning and being challenged to grow as a person and leader, you’ll love our culture! (If you haven’t read a book in the last decade, you’ll probably hate us!)
• We aren’t big on stress. So, while we will expect you to work efficiently and get things done, we focus on open communication and getting things done right the first time around.
• As the company grows so does your income. You’re not going to become a millionaire, but we believe in taking care of our people.

Now let’s talk about the job requirements. You must have a background in Home Services (house cleaning, window cleaning, carpet cleaning, remodeling, handyman services, pest control, etc) PLUS the following:

1. You must be the type of person who is able to receive direct feedback, reflect on that feedback and improve accordingly without taking it personally.

2. You must be the type of person who is able to evaluate and interview candidates, hire confidently, and provide direct feedback regarding their performance as needed. You will be required to enforce company policies and must be able to do it directly and immediately, but with compassion.

3. You need to be the type of person who gets joy out of getting things done. Every day, you will bang out a list of stuff. Fun stuff. Important stuff. Necessary stuff.

4. You will be on the computer a lot. So, an understanding of email, navigating the web, and other computer-based stuff will be necessary. You must be a fast learner of new software.

5. You need to be the type of person who loves to deliver exceptional experiences to other people. You need to be someone who feels good by helping other people live their best lives.

6. You need to nail down the details. You don’t need to race through work and get things done half-assed (we figured that one out ourselves). We need you to slow things down and get them done right, but do so with a sense of urgency!

7. You need to have an opinion and ideas and the ability to effectively communicate both in a timely manner. We don’t know everything & you don’t know everything, but together we know just about all there is to know or we can figure it out! You have to be willing to share your knowledge!

In short, your job is to make sure the day-to-day operations of the company run smoothly and efficiently. We are a casual office but expect professionalism and punctuality.

What we don’t expect is perfection or for you to know everything the first day. We can teach you what you don’t already know. We expect intelligence, energy and a get-it-done attitude.

In addition to being a detailed person, you must follow (and create) systems and processes.
