Summary:

The Operations Manager will responsible to manage the daily activities in a multi-client 3PL warehouse highly automated distribution center and implement procedures to improve quality, productivity and efficiency. We are looking for a solution driven individual to resolve issues efficiently, cost effectively, while meeting our clients business requirements. Responsibilities to include: providing direction to the Operations team, labor management, managing employee performance, training, achieving daily KPI’s and achieving clients goals.

Essential Job Functions

  • Supervise and direct the operations team; build positive work relationships, coach, teach, develop, troubleshoot, and provide performance feedback.
  • Manage DC activities to include: inbound receiving, quality control, value added services, product put away, outbound order processing.
  • Proactively track status of each process and address potential issues that might inhibit successful completion of any of the processes.
  • Responsible for creating and supporting a positive work environment by observing and coaching employees on proper job-related behaviors and providing timely feedback on necessary action plans.
  • Ensures that KPI’s and accuracy standards are met and daily goals and objectives are achieved to meet customer requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve DC activity efficiencies, work quality and our client services.
  • Responsible for assigning work, meeting completion deadlines, and reinforcement of our organizational policies, procedures.
  • Present problem analysis of operational issues, and recommend and implement solutions in a creative and logical manner.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Assist in ensuring the security of the facility, its environment, employees and contents. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and adhere to all federal and state OSHA regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Complete all necessary warehouse operations records, reports and other administrative projects timely and accurately.
  • Qualifications and Skills

Requirements

  • 2 Year Degree; Bachelors Degree in Business Administration preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years Supervisory experience in a 3PL, warehouse, distribution environment
  • Knowledge of Warehousing Management System (WMS)
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Must have knowledge of shipping/receiving operations in a 3PL, warehouse, distribution environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and be flexible
  • Ability to perform job duties with high attention to detail and accuracy and effectively handle uncertainties.
  • Must be PC literate with knowledge of MS Office suites
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Bilingual (English /Spanish) a plus

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
