Summary:
The Operations Assistant check, and measures variety of products based on characteristics and requirements according to customer specifications. Inputs accurate data into the E1 system.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Reviews work orders to determine packaging requirements.
  • Visually inspects product for defects and transfers defective items to the appropriate location..
  • Measures and test products with complete accuracy.
  • Input data into the E1 system accurately.
  • Accurately completes departmental paperwork.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste
  • Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems. Reports all other problems to lead.
Education & Experience:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Competencies - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time.
  • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; maintains a clean and organized work environment.
  • Quantity - Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity.
  • Safety - Observes all safety procedures and policies; Reports potentially unsafe conditions to supervisor; Uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Experience operating industrial equipment such as a cherry picker, reach and forklift
  • Basic computer skills: Ability to learn and use in-house software applications
  • Able to type 25 WPM.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
Preference given to candidates with the following skillsets:
  • Administrative experience
  • Receiving - Validate inbound shipments, load & unload trucks, create exceptions report, check materials against PO and packing list
  • Inventory Control - Cycle Counts, identify discrepancies and root cause analysis for variance, stocking, replenishment
  • Shipping - Processing UPS, FedEx, USPS and BOLs for various LTL carriers
  • JD Edward E1 - Knowledge of all Operations Applications
  • Equipment - Forklift, Order Picker, Reach Truck
  • Will train the right candidate
Operational Equipment:
  • PC
Work Environment:
  • Fast-paced, standard dock-high warehouse
Physical Demands:
  • Lifting up to 50Lbs., standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling for extended periods of time.
