The Operational and Safety Manager-Logistics oversees all truck drivers for our organization, the Safety and Training Program and holds the drivers accountable to perform their primary responsibilities. The Operational and Safety Manager for Logistics primary responsibilities are:

• Petroleum Driving is a must
• Your office will be in the Goldsboro, NC area.
• Protecting company assets and perform risk assessment techniques.
• Develop and train new drivers to meet Adelphi Transport LLC. Safety Standards.
• Responsible to train truck drivers to serve existing accounts and maintaining their positive relationships.
• Achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and build business relationships within the Areas we deliver.
• Provide fuel distribution thru working with all our drivers across the country making sure loads are delivered any time of day or night and ensure we have proper staffing. Recruitment is crutial.
• Continuously train and evaluate drivers to ensure their safety knowledge is current and being performed, and if not they are counseled accordingly.
• Monitor camera systems daily for safety compliance.
• Hold drivers accountable grading each driver doing quaterly ride alongs.
• Monitor the Quaterly Safety Bonus structure for Drivers with a pass or fail.
• Work closely with our safety and compliance and insurance people to insure our drivers and trucks stay in compliance at all times .
• Schedule and attend quaterly safety meetings held by our safety and compliance people and share with our company the results of each either by attending in person or virtually.
• Update drivers on new company policies and do a weekly review of pre and post truck inspections.
• Review each pre and post inspection daily working closely with our dispatchers keeping them responsible to get repairs done and put trucks and trailers in shop making sure they are not putting our company at a liabilty risk.
• Work with the Executive Team to accomplish any additional tasks as assigned.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

· Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)

· Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.

· Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports

· Close attention to detail and excellent analytical skills

· Able to work independently without supervision

· Knowledge of all company policies

· Sales and Marketing experience helpful

· Ability to perform business math functions

· Ability to manage P&L of each territory concerning sales volume, profitability, and marketing

· Effective time management and skilled in problem-solving

· Ability to train others

· Maintain a CDL Class A license

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity standards.

2. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

3. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
