Job description

Under Working Supervision this position reports to a Supervisor or a Superintendent. This position supervises craft personnel within a discipline and/or function on a project or maintenance site.

  • Responsible to ensure site 24/7 critical infrastructure is operational for the duration of shift worked.
  • Responsible for the productivity and accuracy of tasks assigned to crew.
  • Responsible for ensuring Preventive Maintenance tasks are completed on schedule with accuracy and a high level of quality.
  • Proficient in identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
  • Proficient in diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for all equipment in site systems.
  • Performs emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Keeps daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
  • Reports Preventive Maintenance metrics for shift worked and records time spent on tasks.
  • Responsible for training crew-members to ensure proficiency in performing Preventive Maintenance tasks as well as emergency response.
  • Complies with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Installing, maintaining and repairing systems such as Switchgear, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air Handlers, Compressors, Hot and Chilled Water Pumps, CRAC Units, Exhaust Fans etc.
  • Must be able to work in a safe manner utilizing all required PPE, site safety plans, and safe work practices at all times
  • Responsible for coordination of crew’s time-off to ensure full coverage on shift.
  • Ability to work after hours, weekends, public holidays and shift work to ensure 24 hour coverage to facility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Job Requirements

  • A combination of education and directly related experience equal to two (2) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Other Job Requirements

  • Must have an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph***
  • Assist site superintendent and site manager when required
  • Supervision, coordination, and execution of assigned work
  • Monitor work activities to ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures, quality standards, schedules, and cost control estimates
  • Coordinate craft personnel, materials, and equipment needed to meet schedules while adhering to budget restraints

  • Ability to read blueprints
