Job description
The Nurse Supervisor (RN) provides oversight and direction to hospital-wide Nursing Services including Charge Nurses, Admissions Nurses, Program Managers, and Mental Health Technicians after normal administrative working hours. The Nurse Supervisor (RN) provides oversight when the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant DON are not on duty.
Schedule: Part-time weekends, Sat/Sun, 7a-7p & 7p-7a.
Pay: $41-$53/hour based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and direction to Charge Nurses, Admissions Nurses, Program Managers, and MHTs for routine and emergency operations of the hospital.
- Provide support to nurses and MHTs during crisis situations, deploying emergency protocols and procedures both environmental and medical.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels on assigned shifts.
- Assure cross-shift report is completed for assigned shifts between nurses and MHTs.
- Report critical incidents as required under policy to the Director of Nursing, Executive Director, and Administrator on call.
- Complete comprehensive nursing assessments.
- Maintain a high knowledge of safety and emergency protocols along with the technical medical skills that accompany Registered Nurses (RN).
- Perform/carry out all emergency procedures, including CPR and other appropriate life-saving techniques.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing is required.
- 1+ years previous nursing experience preferred.
- Oral and written communication skills, listening effectively.
- CPR certification or immediate certification training is required.
- Valid driver’s license.
