Vital Family Practice Center, a well-established primary care clinic in Mesquite, TX, is seeking a bilingual Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team. Our clinic has been serving the community for over 25 years, providing family medical services to our patients. The successful candidate will work alongside Dr. Pedro Yen, a seasoned physician with over 30 years of experience in Brazil and the United States.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical exams, assessments, and diagnose and treat medical conditions for a specific patient population.
• Provide patient counseling, including pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, safer sex practices, contraceptive care counseling, and medication management.
• Prescribe appropriate pharmaceuticals, medications, and treatment regimens based on patient assessments.
• Refer patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as necessary.
• Collaborate with supervising physician to coordinate patient care activities.
• Attend medical staff meetings and general staff meetings as required.
• Maintain a professional relationship with patients and staff.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and respond to patient care inquiries.
• Perform other necessary tasks to achieve clinic goals and objectives.
• Collaborate within a patient care team, including fellow Providers, Collaborative Physicians, and other members of the health care team.
• Document all patient care within an EHR.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from a certified PA or NP program.
• Board certification for PA or NP.
• Licensure in the state of Texas.
• Experience with electronic health records.
• Comfortable treating patients of all ages.
• Must be bilingual (Spanish/English). Portuguese is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience.
