Pagosa Springs Medical Center has an opening for a full time night shift Medical Technologists. The Med Tech performs technical analytical procedures requiring knowledge and techniques in areas such as hematology, chemistry, special chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, serology, urinalysis, coagulation and phlebotomy as ordered by the physician. Performs routine and special laboratory tests in accordance with written requisition of physician. May perform clinical test in and one or combination of areas of specialization. Performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting for laboratory instrumentation. Performs, records and participates in evaluation of Quality Control for tests conducted. Performs all work in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Pagosa Springs Medical Center.

Once trained and competencies completed will be working alone in the lab. This person will be responsible for maintenance on analyzers (Vitros priority), performing QC to prep for the days patient load, running labs on ED patients, etc. This position does offer a $5 shift differential.

• Education/Training & Experience: Doctorate, Master’s, Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Laboratory Sciences with completion of approved internship in Medical Technology required.
• Special Skills, Licenses or Certifications: MLT (ASCLS) or MT (ASCLS) or equivalent or must pass the registry within 6 months of hire date. Medical Technologist – ASCP or AMT. Basic computer knowledge.
• Compensation Range: $24.75 - $36.35 hourly, dependent on years of experience. Night shift differential of $5.00 applicable.
• Starting Work Bonus: Applicants are eligible for a starting work bonus of 5%! Must be hired into a full time position. Part-time or PRN positions are not eligible.
