Job description

We’re looking for an individual to fill our open Night Audit Shift position to assist guests with their overnight requests and balance accounts from the day shift. Night Auditor responsibilities include checking in guests, handling their requests and taking reservations. Ultimately, you will provide excellent customer service to guests and keep the front desk and accounting operations running smoothly.

Job Duties:

• Provides guests with information, such as local attractions, events and directions.
• Maintains customer privacy.
• Maintains a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.
• Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments.
• Takes same day reservations and future reservations.
• Knows cancellation procedures.
• Registers arriving guests and assigns rooms.
• Uses persuasive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel.
• Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager.
• Manages and resolves all guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
• Coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, and special requests.
• Coordinates guest room maintenance work with the maintenance department.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with the public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner
• Knowledge of surrounding areas and local events
• Ability to lift and carry heavy packages and luggage up to 75 lbs
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $16.24 per hour
