Best Western Plus Hood River Inn is searching for professional applicants for a part time, Hotel Night Auditor for a set schedule Sunday thru Tuesday, overnight shifts. Scheduling may include the possibility of taking on one afternoon front desk shift to earn full-time status.

This is a busy and fast-paced, yet rewarding position, with the Auditor overseeing the night operations of the hotel, taking care of guests, and tallying daily accounting records. Pay starts at $19/hour with a 90-day evaluation. Previous hotel experience a plus and may warrant higher starting wage.

Responsibilities Include:

• Checks front office accounting records for accuracy and compiles information for the hotel’s financial records.
• Tracks room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office operating statistics.
• Prepares summary of cash, check, and credit card activities, reflecting the hotel’s financial performance for the day.
• Posts room charges and room taxes to guest accounts. Processes guest charge vouchers and credit card vouchers.
• Verifies all account postings and balances.
• Summarizes results of operations and prepares reports for management.
• Performs duties of the Front Desk Agent.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Accounting background preferred.
• Previous hotel experience desired.
• Strong customer service orientation and skills.
• Present a professional image, and able to communicate well with both guests and employees.
• Ability to operate front office equipment and computers.
• Ability to compile facts and figures.
• Ability to understand principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.

Hours:

• This position is a graveyard shift, 32-40 hours per week, Sunday thru Wednesday nights beginning at 10:00pm and ending at 6:00am daily.

• Applicants must be presentable, well spoken, and physically fit.
• Subject to a mandatory background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
