We are looking for a Network Engineer to ensure the stability and integrity of core datacenters, remote sites, wired and wireless network services. This is achieved by planning, designing, implementing and supporting LANs and WANs across the organization. In addition, the Network Engineer will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide technical training where required. They will be working in the role of a team supporting diverse systems globally.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, routers, switches, and other hardware.

  • Build and maintain highly available core datacenter networks and interconnects.

  • Support Merger and Acquisition activity building IPsec tunnels, network integrations and standardization.

  • Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.

  • Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term network capacity needs.

  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.

  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.

  • Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.

  • Responsible for ensuring all hardware is under maintenance, and has all “emergency numbers” required for hardware support and notification of failures, etc.

  • Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.

  • Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.

  • Participate in managing all network security solutions.

  • Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to deploy network products and services.

  • Responsible for building and executing technology refresh activities regarding outdated and discontinued hardware.

  • Provide assistance and backup support for other technical staff members, when necessary

  • Ensure all application related activities comply with the Global IT Policies, Procedures, Standards, and Best Practices.Qualification

Qualifications

  • BS degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Engineering, or Business discipline or at least 9 years’ experience designing, implementing, and managing wide area networks

  • At least 5 years’ experience designing, implementing, and managing network systems

  • CCNA and/or CCNP desired

  • Working experience with the following a plus:

  • Cisco Nexus 5K, Cisco Routers and Switches

  • Cisco ASA Firewalls, NAT, Objects, ACLs and Syslogs, IPsec tunnels, AnyConnect Client VPNs and ASDM

  • Routing protocols BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, Redistribution, Route Filtering

  • High Availability – Port Channels, STP, FHRP, Failover, HA designs

  • Cisco Meraki Portal - API, Templates, Device Profiles, Licensing Management

  • Cisco Meraki Hardware - Security Devices, Switches and Wireless APs

  • Network Admission Control - Cisco ISE, 802.1x, RADIUS and TACACS

  • Networking - Ethernet, OSI Model, TCP/IP, Packet Capture

  • Microsoft Azure - Express route networking, security

  • Network Monitoring and Management Tools, SNMP, WireShark

  • Windows Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS

  • Cisco SmartNet contracts, Smart Licensing, TAC case management

  • M&A Integrations and Network/Site Standardization

  • Must be an excellent communicator, both oral and written (business conducted in English)

  • Must be capable of producing high quality network diagrams and written documentation

  • Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Must be a problem solver and be able to work independently

  • Able and willing to travel and work flexible hours at times, perform after-hours scheduled maintenance, in support of a global organization as required
