Contract position 6 months possible permanent after:
Job Summary:
Network/Systems Analyst position will be responsible for all aspects of Company's Enterprise Systems and Networks (Local and Remote). This position will deploy, manage and monitor documentation and reporting of Network/Systems status.
Essential Functions:
- Manage/Monitor/Troubleshoot All LAN/WAN circuits for all locations.
- Subject matter expert (SME) on company's NMS (Network Management System) in order to fully utilize tool for Network Management.
- Manage/Monitor/Document Server Backups at Home Office (Physical and Virtual Servers); setup backup/documentation strategy for all servers.
- Manage hardware deployment/installations for/replacement equipment enterprise-wide. Work with 3rd party company by building standard system image(s) for various needs. Manage hardware orders/naming/ip standards for deployment of hardware enterprise-wide.
- Coordinate installation of WAN circuits with various telco/data vendors (new/existing circuits)
- Manage/configure/build/monitor/troubleshoot Routers/Firewalls enterprise-wide
- Manage/Configure/Monitor/Maintain/Troubleshoot
- Manage Devices (routers/switches/UPS's, etc) throughout enterprise.
- Responsible for all enterprise hardware builds/deployments; either by site visit(s) or coordinating with 3rd party vendor (project management).
- Document current configurations of managed devices enterprise wide
- Document enterprise-wide Network Infrastructure reporting of system status (Network/Devices/Backups/Deployments/Installations) and report to Sr. IT Director.
- Project Management of 3rd party vendors as required.
- All other duties as deemed necessary by Sr. IT Director..

Education/Certification:
- College degree preferred
Required Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of Network (LAN/WAN) environments
- Extensive knowledge of LAN Routing/Switching. (WAN/VPN)
- Extensive knowledge of System setup (Desktop/Laptop/Servers. Multi-system imaging
- Extensive Experience with Microsof Operating System(s)
- Linux knowledge helpful
- Knowledge of network wiring specifications
- Knowledge of NMS (Network Management Systems)
- Scripting experience a plus
Experience Required:
- 3 years Network/System Specialist in similar environment
Skill and Ability:
- Effective troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently/unsupervised as well as ability to work in team environment
- Ability to learn new technology and software applications quickly without specialized training
- Demonstrated ability to learn and retain information
- High level of customer service skills, and ability to fluctuate technical communication level to suit users needs
- Ability to analyze technical problems and provide logical and effective solutions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical information from resource manuals
- Ability to communicate concisely both verbally and in writing
- Ability to train end users of varying backgrounds and degrees of specialized understanding
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Solid documentation skills utilizing core productivity suites (document/spreadsheet/presetation software)
Physical Demands/Work Environment

Finger Dexterity Use primarily when operating calculator, telephone and keyboard. Ability to use common tools (screwdrivers/drill/etc) for setup of systems, etc.
Talking To convey detailed or important instructions to employees and/or 3rd party vendors/contractors
Hearing Able to hear normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
Vision Visual acuity necessary to prepare and inspect documents and review electronic information on a computer screen. Clear vision at 20 inches or less and distant vision at 20 feet or more
Physical Strength: Requires long periods of sitting as well as frequent walking around company facilities. Must be able to lift and move packages and equipment up to 50 lbs.

Ability to operate in an open work area with moderate everyday noise.

Approximately 40% travel may be required
On call support rotational duties are to be expected
