Twin Peaks Inc is currently looking to hire a NDT Inspector (State carded RT Level II, UT, MT certified) to join our dynamic team in NY.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The following will be some of the requirements, but will not be limited to:

• The position includes traveling to various project sites on a daily basis and using applicable field-testing procedures and testing equipment to perform required field and Shop inspections and testing as required by the project to determine compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Preparation of Daily Field Reports, communication of deficiencies observed in the field to project managers, contractors, and/or client representatives.
• Coordination of drawings and field conditions during onsite inspections.
• Other miscellaneous tasks requested by your supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Steel Inspectors must have a HS Diploma and / or equivalent. Additional certifications or education is a plus. Having valid certifications in the following areas is required:
  • NDT certification UT & MT.
  • RT State carded Level II.
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector. (Preferred)
  • ICC Structural Steel & Bolting Special Inspector. (Preferred)
  • ICC Structural Welding Special Inspector. (Preferred)
• Must have OSHA-10, OSHA – 30 is plus.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of the fundamentals of building inspection codes and requirements to carry out testing, including, but not limited to, International Building Codes, ASTM Standards, and TMS standards.
• General knowledge of NYS construction codes and/or filing process a plus.
• Must be internet savvy & have experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
• Valid driver license is required. Candidate is expected to use personal vehicle to travel to and from project sites throughout New York City metro area.
