AMTRAK DRIVERS NEEDED!

PLUS: $3,000 for Amtrak and $4,000 Sign-On Bonus for SPAB or SCHOOL BUS Certificated Drivers.

Charter and Tour Drivers - If you enjoy people having a good time, this is the profession for you. You will be home most nights and on occasion you will also enjoy a three- or four-day trip to Reno/Vegas/Palm Springs and other great places. If you enjoy the same schedule every day, same hours, no changes, this would not be the job for you. However, if you enjoy a regular schedule our Amtrak route services are what you are looking for. We connect the central coast of California with LA and the Bay Area along the Hwy 101 corridor interconnecting the statewide Amtrak California train systems.

IF YOU CURRENTLY HAVE A VALID CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements you qualify. If you have a Class A or B CDL but do not currently possess a passenger and/or air brake endorsement, we will help you qualify. If you possess a valid CA School Bus/SPAB/Farm Labor Certificate we have full time charter work available for you in the San Luis Obispo/Santa Maria/Santa Barbara/Paso Robles Areas.

SUPPLEMENTAL PAY:

• $4,000 dollar sign-on Bonus for SPAB or School Bus
• $3,000 dollar sign-on Bonus for Amtrak Thruway bus drivers
• Paid Training
• Monthly phone allowance
• Gratuity Included for Motorcoach Charters

Schedule:

• Must be able to work weekends when needed
• Will Provide 5 days advance notice of the work schedule for charters.
• Bi-Weekly Pay
• 80 Hours Bi-weekly Guaranteed Full-Time
• Full time and part-time (most Saturdays).
• Multiple schedules available, we are flexible.

Pay Rate:

• The wage range that AmericanStar pays for Amtrak drivers is $300-350 per day.
• SPAB/School Bus Charter Drivers is $35.00 per hour. Amongst the highest pay in the industry.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

• Safely navigate various routes through varied terrain and geographic areas.
• Interact with clients, customers, and fellow company drivers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
• Performs pre & post trip vehicle inspections; identifies and reports safety concerns, defects and malfunctions.
• Assist passengers requiring special assistance in a professional manner to ensure safe passage.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B Required
• Minimum 2 Years of Commercial Driving experience preferred.
• Transit, Charter Bus, School Bus, truck driver and/or military experience a plus!
• Clean driving record K4-DMV Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Passenger Endorsement (Required)
• Air Brake Endorsement (Required)
• Must be at least 23 years of age with prior military or heavy-duty driving experience if not must be 25 years of age.
