Character of Position

As a Mobile Software Application Engineer you will be a part of a team that will develop and grow our off-road business.


Responsibilities

As a Mobile Software Application Engineer you will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Provide innovative controls solutions to off-road construction and agriculture machine OEM customers resulting in the development and growth of customer accounts.
  • Provide innovative controls solutions and support to our existing sales staff resulting in the development and growth of our mobile products.
  • Build relationships through consultative selling of high tech electronic and hydraulic products and services by working with our mobile/off-road customers to assess and solve their automation application needs.
  • Plan and perform customer sales calls, assess customer needs, prepare customer quotes, close orders and follow up on all related activities.
  • Inform customers of available products by anticipating their needs and introducing new products.
  • Develop a deeper knowledge of Morrell products on a continuous basis by attending related training sessions to enhance sales and presentation skills.
  • Foster a positive team environment by assisting co-workers
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Controls or Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
  • C and Codesys Programming language proficiency
  • Self-motivated, high energy individual who possesses excellent relationship skills and technical automation problem solving capabilities.
  • Strong technical background coupled with the desire for a people oriented position and a strong professional and technical drive.
  • Ability to evaluate product applications and assist customers with product scope, technical description, proposals and project management.
  • Interest in using technical knowledge and relationship building skills to learn off-road machine applications
  • Ability to work independently, possessing excellent organizational, communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel to offsite business and customer locations.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Experience

  • 1-5 years industry experience minimum
