GENERAL:

Set up, adjust, operates, and cleans a variety of production equipment/machines to produce a variety of colors/styles/sizes of Terrazzo Tile products in a continuous production processes. Employee is responsible for the productivity of the production equipment and will monitor and ensure quality products are produced consistently and safely. Must be able to read and understand a variety production paperwork including, blueprints, spec. sheetsand other production paperwork, use measuring equipment and hand tools, be mechanically inclined and able to operate equipment and machinery. BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

The mix operator is responsible for inspecting all tiles for proper mix, aggregate selection, water and cement ratios for product consistency. Monitor and operate support equipment such as kiln, water softener, water level, etc. to sustain overall system effectiveness as needed. Perform daily equipment preventative maintenance and clean up. Close monitoring of product quality. Support the press operator as needed to work as a team. Clean equipment after use. Update paperwork and computer system for data collection and schedule execution.

Specific Tools/Equipment Used:

Machine Operator operates a variety of specialized interconnected tile making machines/equipment, including: mixing equipment, forklift, hand tools.

Physical Requirements:

Includes but is not limited to, prolonged periods of standing, working on a computer, bending, reaching, stretching, lifting, walking, twisting, squatting and kneeling. Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, knees, back shoulders and neck. Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and the like.
