Saw Operator
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Reviews cut lists as provided by production leads
· Determines the cutting time required for each job
· Verifies the material, thickness, length, and grade is correct.
· Cuts parts to specifications.
· Stages parts as specified in compliance with Standard Conventions.
· Accurately tracks and documents time spent cutting each job.
· Keeps area clean and organized.
· Communicates with Leads on any discrepancies on parts
· Assists other areas from time to time as directed.
Skills/Qualifications:
· Metal/Material Knowledge
· Manufacturing Processes
· Attention to detail and planning
· Excellent communication skills
· Materials/Tooling understanding and application of best practices
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of standing and walking with frequent pulling, pushing, lifting, & bending.
· Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds daily.
· All personal protective equipment must be worn where necessary (i.e. safety glasses, shoes, etc.)
Education:
· High School or equivalent preferred
Salary:
· Starting at $18-$24/hour (based on knowledge and experience)
Schedule:
· 8-10 hour shifts
· Monday-Friday
· Daytime
