Eaton's Power Systems Division is looking for a talented Metal Forming Operator to become a part of our 2nd shift crew!

This position offers a $22.30 hourly rate plus a $1.25/hr shift premium. The working hours are from 3 pm to 11 pm.

This position is provided with a sign-on bonus of $2,000*, minus relevant withholding.

  • Terms of Bonus:
  • The bonus offer is for a limited time only. Qualifying applications must be submitted on or after January 24th, 2023.
  • The bonus is only valid for specific job types and shifts. Additional terms and conditions may apply.
  • Associates must be employed at the time of payout.
  • The bonus will be paid in two installments. $1,000, minus applicable withholding, will be paid three (3) months after employment, and the remaining $1,000, minus applicable withholding, will be paid nine (9) months after employment.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Metal Forming Operator will be responsible for laying out materials per blueprint instructions. They will also be responsible for setting up and operating Hydraulic Press Brake machines of various sizes from 230T to 400T to form various sizes and gauges of steel into transformer and voltage regulator tank components.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up forming dies and punches in the press brake.
  • Entering part number information into the computer terminal. After forming a part and first-piece piece check, the operator makes the necessary corrections to the part program to adjust for variations in material.
  • Positioning each piece against stops and form pieces to the required angle and bends.
  • Checking finished pieces against print for correct dimensions and adjusting the press brake as needed.
  • Working with another operator to aside completed parts to pallet.
  • Developing computer programs for new parts.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution is required

  • A minimum of 6 months of machining experience within a manufacturing environment is required

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship both now and in the future

  • There is no relocation benefit for this position. Candidates located within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • Ability to work overtime when required is essential.
