At Galen Hope, our case managers are referred to as a "Care Partner." We are a comprehensive mental health treatment center in Coral Gables that treats a wide range of mental health conditions with a focus on eating disorders.
We are currently hiring a devoted Care Partner for Day and/or overnight shift!
The Care Partner works closely with clients in a comprehensive mental health treatment center setting focusing on providing support to clients with mental health conditions with a primary diagnosis in eating disorders. Must have a comfort with working with clients with complex psychiatric conditions and be able to eat with clients. Care Partners will be trained in meal support and cannot have strict dietary limitations. Care Partners monitor the milieu, support meals, and work with clients to develop life skills and goals. Care Partners are a valued part of our multi-disciplinary team and work individually with clients as well in groups.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Experience in healthcare preferred; experience in mental health-related setting highly desired.
- CPR/BLS required.
- Driver's License required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Monitor clients’ emotional well-being during each shift.
· Monitor the milieu, support meals, and work with clients to develop life skills and goals.
· Set-up/prep supervision of meals and snack, including eating with clients and staff to model normalized eating.
· Intervene with recovery focused directives when appropriate.
· Supervise client activities and off-site outings in the community and occasionally drive clients off-site.
· Document notes for clients as appropriate in their chart
· Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and work with clients individually and in groups.
· General office duties; other tasks as assigned.
· Possible weekend shifts
