Personal Care Shift Leader Medication Technician Parttime Nights
The Personal Care Shift Leader works in conjunction with the Interdisciplinary Team to ensure consistent care and well-being of residents.
The Shift Leader serves as the main point of contact and general supervisor of the unit in the absence of Clinical Coordinator.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Provide residents, families and co-workers with excellent customer service and consistently strive to exceed expectations while abiding by all regulations and facility policies and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure that changes and new information is shared with all involved.
  • Administer medications in accordance with professional standards and manufactures recommendations.
  • Provide treatments as ordered by the physician, assess residents for change in status, and document appropriately on all.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of Resident Assistants. Assist in completion and administration of Introductory and Annual reviews for Resident Assistants. Utilize the corrective action/disciplinary process to assist Resident Assistants to recognize opportunities to improve their care delivery and meet the expectation of their job.
  • Communicate with Personal Care Resident Assistant, report on residents.
  • Maintain proper infection control procedures, including cleaning equipment after each use.
  • Maintain tidy and safe work environment, including PC Care Station, resident rooms and utility/storage areas.
  • Complete all necessary reports including but not limited to: 24-hour shift report, incident reports, DHS reporting as needed.
  • Utilize Point Click Care and eMAR system.
  • Abide by the 2600.00 Department of Human Services regulations, HIPAA and facility policies and procedures.
  • Assist in answering call bells for Personal Care and Residential Living apartments.
  • Attend all in-service training to meet regulatory compliance. Attend monthly staff trainings and meetings.
  • Complete all required documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Must have current LPN license or current PA Med-Tech Certification with at least 1 year experience.
Current CPR/First Aid.
