Part-Time Clinical Receptionist/Office Support Specialist
The Organization: Oregon Washington health Network (OWhN) is a growing non-profit agency based in Pendleton, Oregon, with an office in La Grande. The Position: We are currently looking for a part-time Clinical Receptionist/Office Support Specialist to join our team at the COPES (Community Outreach Prevention & Engagement Services) Outpatient Clinic which has a new model of care in Eastern Oregon. The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team, to assist individuals in accessing resources. The pay range we’re offering will be dependent on the experience and education/training of the successful candidate.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 6 months - 1 year minimum experience in clinical or medical office, preferred
- Experience with computers, software and office equipment; Microsoft Office, Google docs, printers, scanners, telephones, etc.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written
- Maintains documentation in accordance with established program procedures to maintain compliance with all legal and professional requirements in a timely manner
- Experience with electronic health records - preferred
- Required to comply with Oregon Administrative Rules, OWhN Policy and Procedures, HIPAA, 42 CFR, Part 2 Federal Confidentiality Statues
- Must pass a reference and criminal background check
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors to the clinic
- Answer, screen and direct phone calls; take messages and schedule appointments
- Receives mail, documents, packages and deliveries; distribute items
- Retrieve patient files, inserts new patient record forms
- Maintain reception are in a neat and orderly condition
- Assists patients with insurance papers and billing questions
- Performs administrative and clerical support tasks
- Performs basic filing and recordkeeping
- Act as a community resource, assisting in connecting individuals and families to local groups and organizations where, through participation, they will develop natural supports that will sustain them in the future
- Attend agency meetings, as required
