Job description
Seeking an experienced medical receptionist familiar with the front desk work flow of a medical office: check-in/ check-out, medical insurance eligibility verification, medical records, referrals, and the use of eClinicalWorks electronic medical records.
Responsible for providing exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for external customers in the office and on the telephone. Greets patients and visitors and determines their needs by directing them accordingly. Facilitates efficient patient flow through the office, handles busy phone volume of patient calls, appointment scheduling, The ideal candidate for this position is detail oriented, has excellent time management skills, and has a proactive work ethic.
Must be able to read and understand benefit eligibily reports with the ability to determine deductible, copay, and coinsurance amounts. Must be familar with checking insurance eligibility through various insurance portals and have knowledge of how to read patient account ledgers and billing alerts regarding current and past due balances. Must know how to obtain VA and government insurance referral authorizations and must know the process of obtaining authorizations for additional visits when needed.
Rotating shift of 6:45 am - 4 pm; 7:45 am - 5 pm; Travel to Macon office as well as satellite offices in Warner Robins, Dublin, & Milledgeville GA on a weekly basis.Seeking local candidates residing in Macon Georgia and/or surrounding cities (within 45 minutes).
NOTE: eClinicalWorks experience required. Applications will be rejected for those applicants who do not complete the employer pre-screening questions and skills tests.

Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
