JOB SUMMARY: The MEDICAL OFFICE MANAGER coordinates the flow of medical office activities and resolves issues arising from patient and staff activities, patient requests and inquiries by performing personally or managing the duties described below. The MEDICAL OFFICE MANAGER represents the clinic in a professional manner to the public and within the organization and with individuals at all levels of authority.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Managing staff by assigning duties to employees, training and motivating staff, conducting performance evaluations and orientations, and ensuring the clinic is appropriately staffed at all times by planning coverage in advance.
  • Ensuring that all compliance and legal postings are current, adherence to all laws and regulations, and liaising with Clinic Providers daily.
  • Providing patient care by ensuring employees greet, welcome and assist all patients and guests timely and respectfully.
  • Addressing patient complaints, filing incident reports, and performing chart and referral audits.
  • Ensuring that patient records are accurate and complete while maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information.
  • Acting as LPN or Medical Assistant when needed.
  • Maintaining office and OSHA manuals, monitoring to ensure PSOP's are being adhered, and assisting Satellites Manager with the achievement of departmental goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification/Certifications Required: Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college/university; 1 - 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; 4 - 6 years of management experience; Medical Clinic and Administrative experience are required; and License or Certification as LPN or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant required as well as CPR Certification.

Required Health Records Documentation: Proof of current Hepatitis B vaccination; negative TB skin test performed within the past 12 months or negative chest x-ray and no evidence of symptoms or completion of treatment. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Annual Flu vaccination is required. A physical will be required if hired. CNAHSI is a Drug Free and Smoke Free workplace.
